Summary : Ohno looked unconvinced. "By straying too far? By holding someone else like you're supposed to be holding me?"

He didn't even need to turn around to know that he was being watched, criticized even, but he was too engrossed at keeping his promise not to let anything affect him more than he would have ever allowed. There's just too much about this that made him want to forget he even existed, and somehow, being here with them just made him feel a lot worse than he already was.

The girl he's dancing with, the one who's name he didn't even remember, leaned in forward to whisper something in his ear; her breath felt damp and warm against his skin and Nino shivered lightly as he wrapped both arms around her waist. He let one of his hands trailed down, down to the lovely curve of her behind and squeezed, grinning when she giggled against him and subtly raised her face to drop few wet kisses along Nino's jaw.

"You wanna get out of here?" she whispered, pushing herself closer to him and making tiny noises while raining kisses along Nino's neck. He wanted to, there shouldn't be any problem if he wanted to go and take this opportunity to forget what he'd been wanting to when he gone out here, but...

"He's not going anywhere," a voice added itself in their supposed for-them-only conversation, and a steady hand grabbed his arms and peeled them off from being wrapped around the girl's waist. He whipped around to find Ohno standing not even a foot away from them, eyes lazy and unreadable. 

"What are you --"

Ohno's grip against his arm tightened and he almost winced, biting on his tongue when Ohno simply tugged him away from the girl as if she wasn't even there. She looked fairly surprised, but Nino didn't have the time to pity her when Ohno started dragging him away, his fingers biting on Nino's skin almost too painfully.

The next time Nino blinked, Ohno was shoving him inside that club's bathroom stall, locking it behind him with a quiet click. 

He looked up defiantly, crossing his arms tightly over his chest as Ohno stood back, staring at him meaningfully. 

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Satoshi?" he growled, feeling his anger draining the rest of him. "we agreed, didn't we? Why the hell are you --"

"I don't like what you're doing," Ohno said simply, tilting his head and looking at Nino like he's touche simple; "I don't know why Nino's hurting me," he said in a tone that brought physical pain to Nino and Nino almost crashed at the intensity of Ohno's gaze. "I don't know why you're doing it... I just.. I t-thought Nino loves me,"

Nino threw him an incredulous look, shocked beyond himself hearing the words that just came out from Ohno's mouth. He couldn't believe it, couldn't really find the real reason why Ohno's asking him these questions now; not when they both agreed on the same thing, and keeping that promise as much as he could, even if it was this hard.

"O-Ohchan,"

"Don't you, Nino?"

"I do," he answered, wanting to take Ohno's hand and  keep him close. "But I'm doing this to for you... for us," he said. "You agreed, right? We both agreed that we'll try. So I'm doing this,"

Ohno looked unconvinced. "By straying too far? By holding someone else like you're supposed to be holding me?"

Nino crossed the distance between them bravely, because he didn't think that pretending would be of any good use now. He wrapped both arms around Ohno's middle, then moved to rest his face against Ohno's shoulder; Ohno didn't even as much as moved a muscle, and simply waited for Nino until he was ready to talk.

"Because that's the only way I know how to make things easier... to stop myself from hurting us both. I am doing this  so I could heal, so I could move on,"

His temple still plastered against Ohno's shoulder, he whimpered, his eyes were suddenly damped with tears he didn't know he was shedding and then Ohno's arms were suddenly wrapped tight around him, holding him close.

"Don't," Ohno whispered hurriedly, like he was afraid Nino would let go if he didn't say the words quickly. "I don't want you to do that, because I know I can't do that too. I love Nino, and I was stupid for agreeing that I can do this but you know I can't. I don't care about what everyone would say, what's important is that I know you're there when I look around to find you,"

Nino didn't know what he did to deserve this, but he guessed he could try. 

"I might still hurt you," he whispered, and he was at least relieved that Ohno was still there to hold him when he's this close to giving up.

Ohno pulled back enough to hook a thumb under Nino's chin, staring straight to Nino's eyes with a smile. Nino could see the light through Ohno's gaze, and his breath was temporarily robbed from him when Ohno leaned in to kiss his lips.

"It's okay, Nino," Ohno mumbled back, pressing another grateful kiss against Nino's lips. "because you won't hurt me as much as it would with just the thought of leaving you,"

Nino's lips trembled and with a final nod, he let himself be enveloped in the warmth of Ohno's embrace as he cried the remnants of the pain he still felt when Ohno left.

It would be the last.

You live in Dubai? :D It's such an interesting place. Dubai Mall was so massive though, didn't even know where to start looking, but I ended up finding the japanese magazine section in Kinokuniya anyway. XD Wish I had kinokuniya near my area. :<

It was quite a while ago, December last year? I was only there for 2 or 3 days, but I had so much fun there. I loved going to the night show thingy they had in the sand dune areas, it was great, and the food was real yummy too. Shame I was a bit sick though, haha.

I heard Dubai Mall is meant to be the size of 30 soccer fields. @_____@ I guess it's convenient to have everything in the one spot though, whereas here... you could easily go through two or more shopping centres i a day. XD
