027. Easy

At quarter past eight, he waltzed out from the bedroom, past the hallway to find Jun in the kitchen, cutting something green and humming something under his breath.

Jun’s back is on him, and even at this distance, he could see that Jun has an apron on – the one he gave him as a gift last month, with the huge pink bear in the front that had made Jun scowl the first time he saw it, hitting him in the face with it.

He moves quietly so as not to disturb Jun, mumbles “What are you cooking?” when he’s near enough to talk without raising his voice, amused when Jun’s ears visibly prickles and his hand against the knife stills.

Jun pauses to look at him. “Fuck, you scared me,”

“Sorry,” he apologizes, though he doesn’t sound like he’s even remotely apologetic, as he crosses the short distance between them so he could lean against Jun, pressing against Jun’s back. 

Then he’s somehow wrapping his arms around Jun’s middle, pressing his cheeks against the toned muscle of Jun’s back and feeling the tendons move as Jun continues chopping. 

“You said you wanted home-cook ramen,” Jun says as Jun pats his arms branding around Jun’s body. “So home-cook ramen it is,”

He hums, half-hearted at best because it really doesn’t matter whether they’d end up eating leftovers instead. He just likes the idea of having Jun around more often now, eating together and doing things together as if they’ve always been like this. He didn’t think it’d be too easy to begin with, living together that is, but it is and he doesn’t think he’d have it any other way than how his life is now.

“Sounds good,” he says, sleepy and content, then, “Kiss?” 

Jun tugs his arms loose until he doesn’t have any choice but to let go, lets Jun directs them till he’s safely backed against the counter’s edge and Jun is tenderly grasping his jaw, and kissing the side of his mouth just as softly.

“Morning to you too, Sho-chan,”

He hums and kisses Jun back.
