[Fic] Reminisce

Summary : Young boys love. Butt grabbing and groping.

It’s Ohno’s special day and Nino made it a point to make it extra special by planning out a special birthday party for the older boy to be held on their makeshift ‘headquarters’. They’ve been friends for almost a year now and though it annoyed him sometimes that Ohno’s attentions were constantly being taken away from him by those other kids he met last summer, he couldn’t deny the fact that he also felt happy having to know them. Plus the fact that Ohno seemed genuinely happy whenever the five them are together.. playing, or just simply hanging around each other like normal kids.. like normal friends.
The thought made him smile. Though at first, Nino couldn’t keep himself from getting jealous whenever Jun would throw himself all over Ohno, or when Aiba would hug Ohno so tight, bouncing all over the place while Ohno giggled back or when Sho would take away Ohno’s attention by stuffing Ohno’s face with homemade foods, Nino eventually learned how to share. He knew he couldn’t just keep Ohno to himself, even though that’s just what he wanted. Ohno was someone whom you could easily love but Nino knew best not to be too selfish. Because he and Ohno shared a special bond that none of the others could ever take away from them.
“Nino-chan!” Aiba called, bouncing in glee towards him with a piece of fried chicken dangling at the corners of his mouth. Nino grimaced when Aiba reached out to poke his cheeks with oily fingers.
“What are you doing here? Come and play with us. Jun-chan is trying to win that kiss against Sho-chan but I bet you wouldn’t like it if he wins, right?”
Nino stared dumbly back at Aiba, chewing his lower lip down in confusion. “Ehh?”
“Remember it’s Ohchan’s birthday? And you were the one who thought of this game, right? Anyone who could answer the most from the questions about Ohno-kun wins the right to kiss him.. did you forget?”
Nino felt the hair at the back of his neck rose up, narrowing his eyes and stood up without a word. There’s no way in hell he’s going to let that thick-browed tiny kid kiss his Oh-chan, not while he was alive.
“And you started without me?!” he asked in a high pitched voice, trying to control himself from clawing Aiba’s eyes out.
Aiba took two steps back before following him. “Well, Jun-chan insisted,” he said in a lower voice. Nino looked positively murderous the minute he reached the other three and seeing Jun’s tiny arms curled around Ohno’s waist. “Oh, bad move Jun-chan..” Aiba whispered to himself.
Nino stomped his way towards them, lips curling dangerously at the edges.
“Who told you to start the game without me?” he complained, locking his eyes onto Jun and on Jun’s arms around Ohno’s body. The other boy barely shrug his shoulder when Nino quickly pried Jun’s arms off of Ohno, his brows raised in challenge. “You haven’t won anything, Matsumoto-san,” Nino muttered. “So keep your hands to yourself and stay away from Oh-chan..”
Jun scowled but otherwise removed his hands away from Ohno as Nino reached out to pat Ohno’s back soothingly.
“Remember what I told you before Oh-chan..” he whispered. “Never trust anyone with thick eyebrows..” he shifted his glance over Jun’s and smiled wickedly. “They’re like the children of darkness. They will feed on you and suck the life out of you the moment you blink your eyes..”
The look on Ohno’s face was enough to make Nino smile. He turned to look at Aiba and nodded his head, prompting him to continue his questions from the beginning. The questions involve anything that concerns Ohno and Nino was quite positive he’s going to bag them all. He smirked towards Jun’s way, crossing his arms over his chest defiantly.
“Again..” Aiba raised the paper in his hand, smiling eagerly. “Questions about Ohno-kun. Let’s start..” few shuffling sound and Nino kept his ears open. “First question..~”
Nino grinned devilishly.

Needless to say, Nino kicked Jun’s ass without much effort. The questions were all too easy and with Aiba’s help, Nino answered them all without a hitch. Jun walked out on them the moment Aiba announces the winner and Nino was just too happy to see Jun, scowling like a bitchy teenage girl.
“So, Nino-chan won, yaay! Where would you like to kiss Ohno-kun?” Aiba asks excitedly. Sho kept on shaking his head, tugging the taller boy’s arms. “No, Sho-chan, we’re not leaving until we see them kiss okay? This is live show, believe me!”
He turned and locked his gaze onto Nino. “Awww, Nino-chan’s blushing..”
“I am not..” Nino quickly bites out, stepping forward to maybe throw a punch over Aiba’s face but Ohno’s hands were quicker.
“Masaki, let’s go home,” Sho grumbles. He really doesn’t want to witness any kiss that might happen between the other two, most especially when he was about to sleep with that image on his head. Oh god, please no.
“No Sho-chan..” Aiba replied, still grinning wide. “I promise you, this is~”
“Yeah, go home Aiba-chan,” Ohno cuts him off, smiling a little. “Just leave the cleaning to me and Kazu. You should go.. and thanks for the party,” he said, blinking slowly.
Aiba’s expression turned sour and Sho quickly used the opportunity to drag the taller boy out, hissing under his breath. Nino smiled quietly as he walked away, reaching down to retrieve whatever it was that needed to be cleaned up. He could feel his breath coming in ragged puffs.
Damn.
“So..” he heard Ohno’s voice from behind him and felt the older boy’s hand on his upper arms. “You haven’t given me your gift yet.Where is it?”
Nino stiffened. He slowly turned around and meet Ohno’s sleepy gaze as the older boy walks forward, stopping just a few inches away from him.
“Don’t tell me you forgot to buy me one..” he asked. Nino looked down, smiling sheepishly.
“Oh-chan, a-actually~”
He wasn’t able to finish his sentence when Ohno quickly leaned in and kissed Nino on the cheeks. His lips were soft and warm against Nino's skin and Nino barely managed to let another word out when Ohno gingerly wrapped both arms around Nino’s neck.
“Thank you for the party, Kazu..” Ohno mumbled through Nino’s ears.. his voice filled with unspoken gratitude and joy. “I really enjoyed it. Thank you..”
Nino nodded quietly, patted the older boy’s back feeling that lump on his throat.
“Happy Birthday Oh-chan..”
