Summary: What would you do if the person you knew was destined for you happened to live decades before you and died even before the two of you met? Can love surpass the hands of time and eventually brings two destined hearts together afterall?
“From where I came from, you were already dead…” Nino continued. Pressing his forefinger against Ohno’s tanned cheek, he smiled and nodded. Ohno looked mildly dazed.
“I’m sure they told me you died on December 1932, but it’s already April 1934 now, right? Something may have happened, I don’t know what that was but I’m happy… I’m happy that you are here…”
“Nino…”
“I looked everywhere for you, you know…” he grumbled shakily, trying to blink back the tears as the last of pieces of realization settled in. “… I thought I would never get the chance to see you…” he muttered brokenly.
Ohno stared back at him in wonder and Nino traced the other man’s face tenderly, brushing Ohno’s jaw with the back of his palm. Tears started running down his face but he didn’t care. Right here and right now, Nino knew he was holding out his future, his life and his forever into Ohno’s hands. Just how it was supposed to be.
“…shhh.. I’m here now, it’s okay. You don’t have to worry anymore. It’s okay…” Ohno mumbled his words through Nino’s hair as Nino gripped Ohno’s arms tightly, pulling the other man closer.
“… whatever happens, don’t ever leave this place. Don’t come looking for me, you have to promise me!” Nino pressed on frantically. “… I need you to stay here and live your life. Whatever happens, Ohchan, promise me you will never leave this place!”
Nino saw the confusion lying underneath Ohno’s eyes and he knew that this might actually alter the things that already happened but Nino couldn’t care less. If he would be given a chance to stay here with Ohno, he would do it.
“… Nino…”
Nino squared his shoulder and forced himself not to think as he grabbed the front of Ohno’s shirt and slanted their mouths together. He quickly swiped his tongue over Ohno’s bottom lip and felt the older man shiver against him. Nino felt Ohno relaxed a few seconds after, opening his mouth and finally letting Nino explore the soft crevices of Ohno’s mouth, moaning Nino’s name softly and letting the slighter man take control.
Somehow, Nino couldn’t find it in him to be surprised by how perfectly he and Ohno fit together as if they were two separate parts of a whole. The way their lips moved on their own accord without even the slightest awkwardness in between them made things even more real and it brought indescribable emotions surging up to his throat the moment Ohno made a satisfied sound at the back of his throat and the older man gently slide his fingers at the back of Nino’s head.
Nino murmured his response, feeling himself getting worked up really fast as Ohno practically hovered over him while the older man’s kisses turned undeniably passionate. Nino found himself returning Ohno’s kisses in the same fevered manner, moaning helplessly against Ohno’s mouth as Ohno pushed him back until he was lying comfortably and Ohno sighing contentedly as he glided his mouth along the line of Nino’s jaw.
“ - Ohchan…” Nino murmured, finding it hard to even keep his eyes open as Ohno proceeded on planting tiny kisses along the awkward line of Nino’s neck. Nino tilted his head to give the other man better access, humming his appreciation as he curled his fingers around the back of Ohno’s nape.
Nino seemed to be having a hard time breathing especially when Ohno’s mouth reached his shoulder blades and the older man tugged the collar of Nino’s shirt down with his teeth. Then Ohno proceeded on showering the said exposed skin with little kisses while his right hand went up to cup Nino’s cheek and Nino felt the older man smile against his skin, stopping to bury his face on the crook of Nino’s neck.
“ – I…” Ohno whispered hesitantly, pausing to stroke Nino’s cheek without looking up. “ – I w-want to p-paint you…” he said in a hoarse voice and Nino didn’t know where that warm feeling came from but he was sure it wasn’t just because of the kisses they just shared but because of being wrapped around Ohno’s arms like this.
“ – paint me?” he asked, feeling rather embarrassed as Ohno moved to propped himself up with his elbow and stared at Nino in a way that made the slighter man’s heart go crazy. Ohno was still stroking his cheek and Nino felt it warmed even more with the way Ohno was looking at him and it made Nino want to lean in and kiss the older man until he can no longer breathe.
Ohno smiled and moved his fingers down to Nino’s throat, down to his collarbone and Nino felt like every part of him burned with every single brush of Ohno’s talented fingers and while the older man gazed straight into his eyes. “ – yes…” Ohno answered in a shaky voice. “ – if you will let me, of course…”
Nino forced out a laugh, feeling extremely embarrassed but otherwise grateful to be here with Ohno. “ – I hope you’re not planning on painting a nude version of me~” he stated quite smugly and saw how Ohno’s mouth broke into that lopsided grin (that same grin he saw that one night in Jun’s face) and Nino immediately reminded himself to breathe because that alone was enough to make his heartbeat flutter unceremoniously against his chest in a way that couldn’t be considered healthy. “ – or are you?” he added, grinning.
Ohno looked fairly satisfied as he ducked his head low and bit Nino’s chin playfully. “ – you could ask me…” he mumbled, running his thumb over Nino’s bottom lip. “ – I don’t mind painting a nude you, though, I must tell you I haven’t tried that before. But I’ll make sure to~”
Nino huffed and lightly smacked the back of Ohno’s neck. “ – I’m not letting you paint me with a stupid necklace on, okay? This isn’t Titanic and I’m not Rose and you’re not Jack…” he mumbled, then laughed out loud at the sudden images he saw in his head. “ – oh my god, that was freaky…” Ohno raised his face and stared at him blankly. Nino giggled a bit more and pinched Ohno’s cheek.
Ohno still looked adorably lost and Nino couldn’t help but pull him down by the ears, whispering, “ – I’m ready when you are, Ohchan..”, then kissed Ohno’s parted mouth, a little more passionate than the last.

“I swear to god he was here an hour ago! I checked him again to ask if he wanted to eat but when I saw him sleeping, I thought it was better if I let him. I was thinking of waking him up after another hour and then ~ ” Satoshi grumbled, worried and clearly on the verge of panicking. His grandmother was still looking around as if looking for something and Satoshi didn’t know how to explain the way his grandmother’s eyes lit up as if she had just realized something. “ – Grandma, what is it? Is there something you’re not telling me?” he asked, feeling his blood pounded hard through his ears.
His grandmother shook her head and brushed her frail fingers over Satoshi’s cheek. “Don’t worry, darling…” she murmured in a sweet voice. “ – Kazu-kun’s going to be fine…” she said and turned around, leaving his grandson stunned behind her.
And added in a little voice, “ – because your grandfather will take care of him… I’m sure of it…”

My optimistic self has been trying hard to fight depressing stuffs around me lately.
And I'm still trying.
Forever is simply different with others. It make me smile, heartache, chuckle, relief and nervous in just few minutes. XD The grandma is so nice T^T I wonder what's going to happen next but I'll wait patiently. Take your time darling =)
